Environmental Footprint

     Would you like to live they way I do? Well, it would take 6.3 earths to provide enough resources to live the way I do. I have never given much thought to this until I completed the environmental footprint quiz. To support my lifestyle, it takes 27.9 global acres of the Earth's productive area.

     I am very impressed with this program and I am also shocked with my own results. I think everyone should be informed of this program to make people realize that we as a world need to conserve our planet. If all of us make the effort to use less resources, we could make the world a better place.

     One of the things that I could improve would be to start recycling and to use the public transportation. I usually drive around 350 miles a week, so I would need to stop driving as much. I never payed much attention to recycling, but now I understand that recycling is actually very important for our ecosystem. I am glad I did this quiz because it is more than just an assignment, it definitely opened my eyes on how much I could help the world's environment by just changing some of my personal habits.
